Previously an associate with Veale Wasbrough (now Veale Wasbrough Vizards) in Bristol, Alison Castrey then worked for 2½ years as an 'in house' lawyer for Cotswold Chine Home-School, a charity and residential children's home/school for young people with significant medical and behavioural needs. ACL was set up in 2003. Since April 2000, Alison has been a Mental Health Act Manager for a secure unit/independent hospital for adults, The Hayes Unit (operated by the National Autistic Society), near Bristol. She is also a Trustee for the Abbeyfield Society (Bristol).
